About our school

William Bayldon Public School neighbours the northern side of the Bongil Bongil National Park. We are located minutes away from local beaches and just moments from the Pacific Highway turn off. We are a K to 6 school with a small, established support unit. We are a part of the Bongil Bongil Community of Schools and we maintain strong ties and partnerships with many local public, education establishments.

Our teachers are enthusiastic and dedicated professionals who support and promote student development with carefully planned, relevant and challenging learning experiences. Our staff foster positive partnerships in the school community through regular communication and involvement in school events.

Learning and student wellbeing are paramount and form the basis of all that occurs at the school. We aim to provide high quality education for all students within a safe, positive and caring environment. The school's focus areas are literacy, numeracy, performing arts, STEM, sport and student engagement. We provide the opportunities and conditions for all children to flourish and become valuable members of society who have positive attitudes to life-long learning.

We are a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school that celebrates positive behaviour and student success. We encourage each student to be Respectful, Responsible, Cooperative Learners.

We offer ‘Early Birds’ which is a successful program that has been implemented to provide students with a sense of belonging prior to starting their primary education. It provides students with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with each other, the teachers and their surroundings.

The school's facilities offer a fully equipped hall, air-conditioned classrooms, interactive whiteboards, outdoor learning spaces, vegetable gardens, large COLA, shaded basketball court, large playing field, fixed playground equipment, computer laboratory and library with multiple learning spaces.

Children at the centre of every decision and our commitment is to lead and engage our school community in quality learning and teaching opportunities that challenge, nurture, guide and inspire.
